NASHVILLE, TENN. - Nov. 18, 2013 - GRAMMY® and CMA award-nominated Dave Barnes' second Christmas collection, A December To Remember, is available now. The project, released October 29 (50 Year Plan Records), is the follow up to his successful 2010 holiday project Very Merry Christmas.
Barnes co-produced A December To Remember, which features six originals, four written and two co-written, such as "So, Santa" and "Better Than Christmas Day." The 11-song line up also includes five Christmas classics, from "White Christmas" to "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year."
Following in the footsteps of Very Merry Christmas, Dave Barnes' A December To Remember blends traditional holiday favorites with his unique touch of originals, with both albums celebrating the most wonderful time of the year and are sure to become treasured albums for years to come.
Even more new Dave Barnes music is coming down the pike. On January 28 he will release his highly anticipated studio album Golden Days. The album's first single, "Good," is now hitting radio and a music video is currently in production. With recent tour stops in Washington, D.C. and New York City, Barnes will perform a one-time only Christmas concert on Dec. 13 in Nashville at War Memorial Auditorium.
ABOUT DAVE BARNES: Since Dave Barnes first showed up on the music scene 12 years ago, this singer-songwriter has written and released seven albums, played hundreds of cities each year, and received GRAMMY® and CMA nominations for Blake Shelton's cut of his song "God Gave Me You." He got married and he became a father. He has sold thousands of albums, has had his songs cut not only by Shelton (whose video for "God Gave Me You" has had more than 22 million views) but also by Tim McGraw, Billy Currington, Marc Broussard, to name a few. And, Barnes has formed deeper relationships in the industry than his then-23-year-old self could have dared hoped. Now 35, Barnes is in a season of both nostalgia and reality about what it means to be a traveling musician, and those reflections have become the life of his upcoming eighth full-length release, Golden Days, available Jan. 28, 2014. He just released his second holiday project, A December To Remember, the follow-up to his highly successful 2010 holiday CD Very Merry Christmas.
An artist loved for his approachable and often hilarious nature, Barnes is actively involved in building into the Nashville community and using his experiences to help others however he can. From spearheading a monthly gathering of artists to mentoring younger musicians, he lives by the question, "What good is what you know unless you can share it with other people?"
